Post WW2 NZ Generals tunic with Sam Browne. Ex John Damond Collection.
The Sam Browne has been added by the present owner. I cannot find a name on this but the medal ribbon grouping is probably unique so it should be able to be identified. (medals include Order of the Bath and Order of Michael and George as well as WW1 and WW2 medals, 1953 Coronation, ED, Croix de Guerre and a Greek medal (MC?)
It is clearly a WW2 era officers tunic on which the owner has replaced various items of insignia as he was promoted through the senior ranks. Scarce generals insignia and buttons.
I have no reason to believe this is made up and consider all insignia genuien to the tunic. Items to NZ generals are rare.
No mothing but minor hole near one shoulder
