Pebble found on South Island beach with image of the Virgin Mary. Its genuine and I will be contacting the university geology department in the very near future to have authenticity proved. Check out The Press Newspaper, Tuesday 23rd of Wednesday 24th October to view more photos and find out more about this tiny pebble.

This is totally brilliant!
Thank you, I think its brilliant too. Its 100% authentic and to prove this, Reporters from the Press Newspaper came around home yesterday to see for them selves. I now have a contact in the geology department at Canty University whom wil be able to verify the authenticity. Thanks for your nice comments.

To prove its not a fake, I am contacting a geologist at the university to verify its authenticity. Yesterday two Reporters from The Press Newspaper came around home to check out the pebble and take photos. These reporters were amazed and now believe. I am hoping the photos will be in The Press Newspaper Tuesday 23rd or Wednesday 24th of October. Thanks for your query. Kind Regards

I wonder if you could find a trailer load of them....I'm doing a succulent garden in honour of the virgin Mary and the pebbles would really top it of nicely.

Do you feel any guilt for trying to make profit out of something that is supposedly so Holy? Surely something so blessed and sacred should be made available for all to enjoy? If it is real as in found on the beach then it is God made and doesn't belong to you therefore you have no right to sell it

You have WAY too much time on your hands! I thought the lady who kept a 10 year old grilled toastie was a freak, but you take the cake (or is it the sandwich?). No one has ever seen the virgin Mary, so what is the university professor going to "authenticate" it as?? A pebble with a pattern on it?
