Yes, now that you come to mention it, it does look a bit like the Mona Lisa, and I think I can make out a small smile on her face. Obviously this is a very rare, and collectible Citrus. Im sure the Louvre will be interested in this lemon ;-)

I never dreamed I'd want to sell a lemon so bad, or that there would be a queue to buy a lemon. lol
11:57 pm, Thu 25 Oct
Yes I would consider selling the strawberry separately, altho to wrench him away from the only family he has ever knowen (even though it is weird and disfunctional) seems cruel, and this question puts me in a bit of a jam. But as it is for Gladys he is happy to go.

I must congratulate you on your puplic spritedness. :-)Love your Lawence of Asparegas too. At least you're letting the market decide it's true value and giving all the proceeds to a very good cause as opposed to what that greedy womann with the pebble is doing. I can assure bidders that I have checked this site for, stolen Lemons,(this lemon has been in my backyard since it was a flower bud) security interests (money owing),( Neither I nor anyone in this branch of the family tree owe money on this Lemon) adverse accident history,(The said Lemon did fall from the tree, but there is no structural damage) ownership history,( One careful Lady Owner) odometer history (I cant find the odometer, or the radio). Thanks for the link. Bidders have a looksee.

My vote goes to Mona Lisa ... mind you I thought she had more subtlety than to flash her boobies on a lemon or any other substrate for that matter... BTW I was thinking of donating an apple and auctioning it, but I was a bit worried about 'in-cider trading' rules...

1:31 pm, Fri 26 Oct
Right, I'm adding you to the Mona Lisa list. Maybe thats why the Mona Lisa has that strange smile, as she was thinking about flashing her boobies. According to the firm G Smith, R Gala and Braburn, in-cider trading is at the core of corruption, and it only takes one bad apple. Cheers

Hi there. I need to know what the diameter is? If I'm the winning bidder I'd like to send Queen Mary back to God with my potato gun. Hopefully she's about 50mm around the waist then I should be able to get her about 250 metres closer to heaven. If not the silly price I'm prepared to bid is going to a good cause anyway... Cheers.

Hi there, she measures 9cm tall and has a circumference of 20cms, so you may have to give her a good squeeze to get her in the potato gun. If you stand on a mountain, you may be able to fling her even closer to God. I would love to see the lemon fly. VIRGIN AIR. cheers.

This is not a genuine Virgin Mary, the real ones exposing her breasts came in limited numbers and were only on Pears! However authorised copies made of silicone do pop up occasionally. How do you get the virgin mary authenticated ? I have a tea towel with a stain that is reminiscent of the shroud of turin. When I stare at it, it seems to look like another virgin mary. Quite similar to yours, I must admit.

It gives me the creeps too. I think it could star in a B grade horror movie no sweat. Perhaps...the haunting of Mr Potato Head......something along the lines of Chucky....but called Chippy...or the Exorchip. It might be useful on Halloween ;-) Cheers

Is a finger flappy anything like a falangee, or is it like a puppet, or in this case a luppet. Are finger flappies a disease or an affliction, if so, im sure this unique Lemon would aid your friend. Cheers

Yep sure can. Gladys is an elderly lady, who was talked into going guarantor on a $16,000.00 loan for a "friend" The person Gladys helped out, went bankrupt a couple of months later, and left Gladys with the loan to pay off to the finance company. WANTING INFORMATION? - See FAIR GO website.
If you would like to know more, its available on the Fair Go website …....................... http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/497100/1360844 ….............
11:50 pm, Mon 29 Oct
Poor lady!!! How could her "friend" do this to her? You can count me on - will make a donation tomorrow!!! Come on everyone!! DIG DEEP AND DONATE!! Let's show Gladys that her good deed that turned into a nightmare can have a positive outcome!! She deserves that!!

Thank you !! thank you !! thank you !! pbmsgirl You go girl. Just a small donation from everyone would help make such a difference to Gladys. When I found out about what happened to Gladys...I thought...that could be my mum or nana. Thanks again... I hope your day smiles on you :-)

All righty then. Lemon goes well with Meringue, and whipped cream. ;-)
8:40 am, Tue 30 Oct
Good thinking, as you will be buying a piece of kiwi history. As I am told there are the only fruit or veges on TM. I am open to all offers, or you can make a donation. Cheers for that.

Hi there breckenridge1. It all started with this auction 124098849. When I saw that auction, i thought well, thats verging on the ridiculous, why not have a bit of fun, and I will give the money raised to Gladys who was on Fair Go. I know about one other auction along the same lines that is raising money for the cancer foundation....as for the rest, I haven't a clue. Cheers
10:38 pm, Tue 30 Oct
awwww chihuahuanuts do you really think so. Olives can be, also chickens, and noses, but not the whole world. By the way, love your name ;-)
10:47 pm, Tue 30 Oct
Yes they are, as well as being extremely generous to Gladys. The adds on T.V talk about veges being our friends, and the person who wins this auction gets a whole bunch of new friends, and my sincere heart felt thanks. I just realised if I had put one more item on the auction it would be the 5 plus a day for fruit and veges. Cheers

are the bids on this serious? who would want a rotten lemon?

I dont believe anyone wants the Lemon, but the bids are serious. This auction is to help raize money for Gladys who featured on Fair Go. Gladys is a pensonier, who helped out a "friend" and the friend then left Gladys with a huge debt. Gladys has almost lost her home becuase of this "friend". When I saw Fair Go, I thought it was such an awful thing to happen, soI thought I would see if I could help. I have never meet Gladys, but I couldnt help thinking....that could be my mum or nana.

Seller Comment: To everyone who has supported this auction....thank you so much, it couldn't have happened without you. For those of you who have made a donation, thank you for your kindness and generosity, your a real gem.(blows kisses) To those who have contributed to the laughs on this auction, you have wicked senses of humour, and made this a real joy ;-) The wonderful people on TM made this a truly great auction, and you have all made a difference for Gladys. I wish you all the best.... smoocher xxx
