Artist Andrew Johnston celebrates the arrival of spring with his latest installation in Okahu Bay. Comprising of clusters of oversized budding flowers the installation will be in place for one day only and is being auctioned with all proceeds going to the Cancer Society.
Made up of thirty one flowers of different sizes and colours the height of the installation varies from two to three and a half meters. Bold, bright and colourful the installation aims to capture the vibrancy of spring.
Come down, have a look with the kids and enjoy the day.

Hi, each flower has eight petals, there are 31 flowers in total (the auction is for all of them) 13 Baby ones, 9 middle ones and 9 big ones.

Just a comment, I saw these from the bus window, when they were set up on the beach for the photo shoot.
O for Awesome. They have a fantastic impact, they would be a great addition to anyones garden or used to create a eye catching display to draw a crowd.
