This specially created package will allow you and a friend to visit Stewart Island/Rakiura and become roving rangers for five days and four nights. This experience will give you an insight into what is so special about New Zealand’s newest national park and includes the opportunity to walk the southern-most Great Walk and visit iconic Ulva Island.

Included in the package:

• Return travel from Invercargill to Stewart Island/Rakiura (plane or ferry, your choice.)
• Greeting by DOC staff on arrival for a behind the scenes tour of the Rakiura National Park visitor centre and field base.
• Transfers to the start of the Rakiura Track and hut passes for two nights
• Two nights accommodation in a studio unit in Halfmoon Bay
• A ranger-for-the-day experience on Ulva Island, where you will experience just what is involved in keeping this iconic island predator-free
• A complimentary copy of Rakiura Heritage, written by Neville Peat

All money from this auction will go to the Million Dollar Mouse fund – raising $1 million to eradicate mice off the Antipodes Islands and provide a safe habitat for the many animals and seabirds that rely on these islands. Mice, the last remaining pests, eat the eggs and chicks of the seabirds that breed on these islands.
