(5 of) Wire Splice Red Suit 18-22 AWG

This is a pack of 5 wire splice thingamajigs.

Used commonly when you want to "vampire" into an existing wire without going to the bother of cutting and joining, for example, splicing into an accessory power line from your ignition or something.

I call them suitcase splices, because they look like a suitcase, similar to (but not exactly the same as) 3M Scotchlock.

Using a screwdriver spread the jaw a bit so you can slip your wire-to-tap-into into the outermost hole, slide your new wire into the inner most hole, use a pair of heavy pliers to push the splice tooth down which will pierce the insulation of both wires connecting them, then fold and clip the plastic clip over the top.

Suits 18 to 22 AWG wire, sorry I don't have any specifications on current carrying capacity at this time.
