Does your Mitsubishi screen look like the attached photo - showing only some Japanese text with the word "CD"?

If so, you need a system reset CD. The Aircon, Radio, Fuel Economy, Compass and Video functions etc will then display properly also shown in photo (all in Japanese + the time is set by satellite & cant be changed) but will include a handy A5 size overview of the system (note, overview doesn't cover touchscreen models - but may give some clues)
