The proceeds from the sale of this limited edition print are going directly to the establishment of the AMI Montessori Teacher Training course commencing in February, 2009 in Auckland.

Nepali Baby was painted by Susan Stephenson, a well known Montessorian from America who has kindly donated this print to the Maria Montessori Education Foundation to raise funds for the course.

Nepali Baby is a painting of a religious ceremony which is undertaken when a child reaches 6 months and is ready to commence eating solids. The child is wearing the traditional costume for this ceremony and the painting was done by the artist in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The print itself is #1 of 120 limited edition prints and is signed by the artist. It is an archival pigment print on Crane cotton paper.

The print is 30.5cm x 22.85cm not including the frame. It has been framed using archival glass to protect it.

The print is available for pick-up in Auckland. Shipping costs will be negotiated at the end of the auction but will be at the auction winners expense.
