The channeling options jump between smaller frequencies within the 2.4Ghz range, The main band is still constant within 2.4Ghz

I had one of these, it worked fine with my microwave oven going and 3KM long range 2.4GHz wifi link. I put modified mine to use an external antenna and used it to link a radio station over 3KM's with no problems. I wouldn't be to worried about a 2.4ghz cordless phone.
