You are bidding on our zombie insurance policy - Revenant Emergency Coverage 2 (aka REC2). This policy covers zombie outbreaks that may result from plague, genetic mutation, religious event, or the imminent NZ release of the movie REC 2 on Friday Nov 13th.
30-day policy includes these coverages:
- Zombie damage: Zombies are notorious for their flagrant disregard for personal property. Don't expect them to be responsible for their damage - that's what REC2 is for! We repair damage caused by zombies up to the value of $500,000.
- "Dying Will": You may be one of many who "turn" (i.e. are bitten by a zombie and become one yourself). In such a case, you will be unable to articulate your needs. By planning in advance with REC2, we ensure that your personal wishes are respected:
- if you prefer not to exist as a zombie, we guarantee your timely decapitation.
- if you prefer to exist as a zombie, we will provide fresh brains twice daily.
- Income Replacement: During an outbreak, traditional commerce is likely to be disrupted.
- TRADITIONAL OPTION: REC2 provides cash replacement for the loss of income during outbreak. Paper money is likely to be useless in a post-apocalyptic society, but REC 2 strives to satisfy its customers, no matter how misguided their wishes may be.
- SURVIVALIST OPTION: REC2 ensures a consistent supply of canned food, bottled water, and bullets - the basic necessities of a post-outbreak society.
- Travel insurance: Don't let the undead cast a shadow over your travel plans! REC2 makes sure that you can book vacations without the stress of wondering, "But what if zombies disrupt my travel?"
- If outward travel is disrupted by an outbreak, REC2 will refund the cost of your trip in the form of canned food and bottled water.
- If return travel is disrupted by an outbreak, REC2 will provide safe lodging, canned food, and a machete until the end of the outbreak.

I'm a bit concerned about whether youse will actually be able to follow through with this stuff.
Like do youse have a set up paramilitary that's going to come through when the zombie apocalypse happens? And even then, you'd have to make sure that your paramilitary doesn't get infected in the first place. Also you might find that your soldiers might change their priorities when push come to shove, and may not feel like fulfilling their obligations to the clients of the old world.

please do not fear, as the number one researcher into the possible zombie outbreak we have developed a retrovirus with which we will be immunising our squad if zombie outbreak becomes imminent. unfortunately as this retrovirus is very expensive to make we cannot supply it to the general populous however feel safe knowing that no matter the scale of the outbreak we will be able to fulfil our claims.

Is the coverage for all forms of zombie? Got to be sure whether it's fast zombies, slow zombies, or slower (Italian) zombies...also is it only for Act-Of-God zombies or are human-created zombies also covered?

only your personal property is covered against zombie damage. damage caused by you is not covered in this plan. however please stay tuned as we may be offering a wider range of plans in the future. please understand that we cannot disclose our financial records, however it is safe to say that we have secure financial investments and will be able to pay you out the full $500,000 in damages if they were to occur.

1) Where do you source your fresh brains from? I suspect I could have ethical issues if you say you supply fresh human brains.
2) Realistically you are only supplying canned food, bottled water and bullets, which I already have stockpiled for such an event, along with the apparatus to make the bullets useful. What makes your policy better than being well prepared?
Admittedly your travel plan looks useful for those moment when one could be caught out, but can I just buy this and not the rest?

regarding the brains, we grow our own organic supply of human brains. These have been created thanks to massive advancements in stem cell research and are definitely not harvested from human bodies (dead or alive). What I was getting at - was that in order to develop a retro-virus, you'd need to have a Zombie Virus to combat in the first place. Else how else would you know that it works? So it would seem that if you have been creating a retro-virus, you've been experimenting with zombies, unless your retrovirus hasn't been tested, in which case we couldn't be very sure that your paramilitary is going to be able to deliver the goods. :)

After the initial outbreak i suspect zombies will become rather sought after for their entertainment value, thus it is my intention to create a sort of Zombie Farm where people can come to feed them/laugh at them/make them fight to the redeath etc, I am wondering if you have any sort of policy that would cover zombie (hereby referred to as my 'assets') protection? I don't know for sure but i suspect there may still be bitter people around after the outbreak that may attempt to harm my assets....

I purchased Revenant Emergency Coverage a few months ago in anticipation for the zombie apocalypse, but have not had to use it as yet. How much does this differ to Revenant Emergency Coverage 2? Will I still have the same benefits with REC or should I upgrade to REC2? Can I upgrade for a small fee?
