This cream separator has been modified to work on electricity. A sturdy wooden base has been added with an electric motor instead of the original iron stand. There is no rust we can see. We used it recently with our goats' milk and it works fine.

All parts are intact. Full instruction booklet included. We even have a spare rubber ring (you can see the photo of 2 black rubber rings).

We bought it last year from a family who used to milk 15 goats and make butter daily when their children were growing up. We are just starting out with our herd. With just 3 goats in milk this season, all first-time kidders, we haven't had enough milk to be using this separator, by the time we made yoghurt and kefir and some cheese for our household of 9 people.

When we did use it, we found that it was a lot of bother, because all the parts must be taken apart and washed every time. The separator is also very big and heavy. (approx. 36 kg all together) So we decided to to let someone else with more milk have a go in the meantime. When our herd of goats gets bigger in a few years time, we plan to purchase a smaller, modern cream separator.

According to the instruction booklet, the separating capacity per hour is 110 L (25 Gallons) The separator bowl measures 41 cm across at the top, and 22 cm tall.

We can deliver to Christchurch for $10 as we go to Christchurch once or twice a week. Shipping at the buyer's cost can be arranged as well. We can detach the separator bowl and the parts from the base, and pack them in 2 boxes if required. The base weighs approx. 30 kg and the rest approx. 6 kg.
