RARE 12+ YEAR OLD FROZEN GEORGIE PIE *$1 RESERVE*
-
Reserve met
- Closed: Tue 7 Dec 2010, 9:16 pm
- Listing #: 336161471
Crazy $1 reserve, must sell!
Your chance to own an appreciating classic.. a genuine Georgie Pie that has been frozen since new, over 12 years ago.
This Pie is a fruit variety, according to previous owner, probably an Apple and Blackberry.
Originally purchased at Palmerston North Georgie Pie before it closed down.
The last Georgie Pie to close was in Kepa Rd. Mission Bay Auckland in 1998 (12 years ago) so this pie must be at least 12 years old. If anyone knows what year the Palmerston North one closed down before that, please leave a comment on the Q & A.
Bought this July 2010 from another trademe member..see link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=305630351
I would keep it for sentimental reasons but as Im now moving overseas, I must let it go to the highest bidder.
No pickups, delivery only North or South Island (no international sorry). Will keep frozen in the same way it was sent to me which was quite effective.
Can probably be eaten, but why risk it..better as a conversation freezer piece, lol.
Serious bidders only please on this item. If you don't look like a serious bidder, I will remove your bid.
Good luck on owning a piece of Kiwiana heritage..how many of these great pies can there be left in the world?
Why not have a look at my other listings as well while you're here, I'm selling up the very last of my superb watches and Jewellery most at $1 reserve!
No pickups, delivery only sorry. Must pay within three days of auction close..thanks for looking :=)
