Parts of Auckland Airport’s Solari board, the old split flap flight information board, are up for sale. The board had been in action at Auckland’s International Terminal for about 30 years. The Solari board may be one of the last of its kind. The board is so old they ceased making parts years ago. Check out other listings for other pieces available.

10x Single Unit (a bundle)

This charity auction is for 10 single units of the Solari board. Each single unit has all the letters of the alphabet, numbers 0–9, a blank, a dash (-) and a slash (/).

Each unit can be manually operated to change the display using the cog at the back and has a control board, inbuilt engine & wiring still attached. Power and software to run the unit is not included. Getting the unit to run electronically could be a good project for the industrious. There are some blank flaps for your own display or flip show.

Units are sold on an 'as is' basis. We can't guarantee all flaps will be complete or that the wheel will turn easily.

Dimensions each unit: 5.5cm W x 10.5cm H x 16.0cm D (includes control board in depth).
