Early 2008 model 15" Macbook Pro - not working!
I can make no guarantees on the laptop apart from:
1. It is as described in this auction.
2. It doesn't work - if I'm wrong on that, you're welcome to bring it back for a refund!

The laptop will turn on, make the usually whirr-click noise that it does when booting up, but the screen will remain blank. A quick google suggested that it's likely the logic board that's at fault, but the screen should be fine - but this is only a guess and a google.

It should be possible to fix the laptop, but it's a great excuse to get a shiny new Air, so I'll sell it on to anyone who either wants to use it for parts or get it working again. I'd be happy to see it still running in someone else's hands, it's been a great laptop that's lasted a while and should have plenty more years in it yet.

The laptop has been fairly well used, and shows signs of wear, though it's mainly cosmetic damage:
Case is warped slightly, with several scratches on the underside. There is a bump in the aluminium above the DVD drive. Feet on the bottom have been lost.

The laptop will come with:
Official Apple battery (completely dead)
Aftermarket battery (still holds at least an hour's charge, doesn't quite fit the case but still works - I've been using it for about a year)
Official Apple charger (still works, but the magsafe plug has worked itself loose)
