This lovely blue and white cup & saucer in the "Norfolk" pattern was produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, one of the Staffordshire Potteries in England. "Norfolk" table ware was introduced in 1912 and discontinued in 1950. The octagonal shape with a square-shaped handle on the cup has scenes from the Norfolk Broads in the ever popular blue and white colour-way. The cup measures 5.5cm in height and 9.5cm in diameter. The saucer is 14.5cm in diameter. These lovely pieces are in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and just small amount of crazing on the saucer. The blue printed back-stamp on the base bears a lion over a crown, the words Royal Doulton - over a stylized insignia - Made in England, Rd. No. 251612, Rd. No.597783, and Printed No. 3. They would make a lovely addition to any collection!
