Here stands R2D2...

Handmade by me my colleague and I, R2 was supposed to grant us victory... and a trip to Los Angeles, but alas this was not the case.

In a recent retail competition, my colleague and I set off making what we thought was the BEST Star Wars display. We crafted R2 here, C3PO, blew up LOTS AND LOTS of balloons, put up streamers, painted a poster banner and even made a backdrop that was glittered with stars and delicate origami xwings. We spent many a long morning crafting each of these things and we paid for every material ourselves, from the paper to the very extensive amounts of spraypaint that was required. All this was to win a plane trip to Los Angeles and go to E3!! WE EVEN DRESSED UP!!! But unfortunately my colleague and I did not win our trip, our hopes and dreams were crushed as 2 north island stores took the prizes...

Therefore R2 is trying to find a new home. Bless his soul, he wanted to win soooo bad. Many long hours were spent painting, paper mache-ing, cutting, gluing and crafting this masterpiece you see in front of you, but unfortunately there was no happy outcome.

As I am only 19 proceeds will go to my new savings fund "AMERICA FULLY PAID FOR"
I'm still working on the title... But please take a second look at this auction, I am sure you will fall in love with R2 as we have, it will be sad to see him leave us. This was all his idea though. R2 you will be sorely missed!
