Seriously, a very, very, rare gem item. This item is limited to 250 gloves. Steve Kaufman painted 250 gloves. However, only some of these gloves were signed by the greatest. This item is 16 years old, a real treasure. I can say with 100% confidence, there are not many in the world which is in the same exquisite condition as the glove I have on offer. No two gloves are like, as Steve painted each individually.

Muhammad Ali autographed limited edition 1960 olympic authorised boxing gloves. One glove is hand painted by the famous sports artist Steve Kaufman (former assistant to Andy Warhol) Steve, hand paints the glove and then issues a silk screen image of Cassius Clay's face on the front of the glove.

*A lot of the gloves have paint faded or peeled off, however, my has none what so ever, it is in exquisite condition.

*The autograph by Muhammad ali, is not faded, no skips, or broken one bit. It is smooth and clear.

* Some only have the one painted glove and not in the original pair they were in.

Comes with the COA from all American collectibles and an original photograph (not a reprint) with Muhammad ali at Steve Kaufman house signing some of these gloves.

Steve Kaufman an Andy Warhol protege, Kaufman's work distinctively shows the influence. In Ali's tribute, Kaufman created limited edition paintings (using Everlast 14 oz. boxing gloves as media) in his "1960 Olympic Series." Offered is a pair of gloves with the right one transformed into a wonderful blend of blues, yellows and greens. It is accented by a youthful screened-on image of Ali which is embellished by the Olympic rings. The unsigned companion glove (left) has a printed tribute to the 1960 Olympic gold medal winner by listing the bouts and the opponents he defeated.
