His smooth vocals are loved throughout the world. Barry Gibb, who founded the famous music trio with his younger brothers Robin and Maurice, moved with his family from the Isle of Man at the age of 12 to Australia. And downunder is where the talented family first started performing as the Bee Gees. The book of Guinness World Records lists Barry Gibb himself as the second most successful songwriter in history.

Barry was busy working in a Miami, Florida recording studio when we caught up with him and he was happy to contribute his autograph to our cause. If you’d like to own this ukulele and have a memento from the last surviving member of the Bee Gees, please bid generously and know if you are successful, every cent of your donation will go to a music programme for less fortunate children in New Zealand.

Social Angels is helping Play It Strange Trust raise money to create a programme of lyric writing workshops for children in low decile primary schools, starting from the central North Island to Cape Reinga. Every cent raised from this auction will go straight to the cause. That’s the Social Angels ‘100% Promise’.
