Listing #: 560801952
Weight: 53kg
Tape Length: 27km

Constructed back in 2005 after a "challenge accepted" moment and a little bit of kiwi ingenuity (minus the number 8 fencing wire), this bad boy was created. Taking a month of planning and two months of constant slog, 27km of tape was wound around itself to make the ultimate classroom weapon!

The crazy students Alexis Fletcher and Ben Naylor, can safely say they have moved onto bigger, better, and more socially acceptable day jobs.

Legend states that after first insulting our sponsor by asking for sellotape (the opposing brand), 3M donated 30km of SCOTCH tape to our cause.

Taking many hours and band-aids a day, the ball weighed in at a mighty 53kg. Sadly (much to the media's dismay), the American's used an entire school to construct a 100kg+ ball in a matter of days and we missed the title of Guinness World Records largest. However, the ball is (as far as I'm aware) still the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Now for the cool part. I'm heading overseas shortly and this ball of awesomeness could be all yours!

Due to it's storage position it's obtained a flat portion perfect for drinks when entertaining that special someone.

Also makes for a great medicine ball to impress all your friends at the gym. Your friends will answer "YES!" when asked..."Do you even squat?".

So don't wait, jump on in and purchase this piece of awesome New Zealand history! It wont be long before the Smithsonian Natural History Museum snaps it up to be on display with the Hope Diamond!!
