One Lucky Bear Spends a Day in the Beehive

If you have a bear with a passion for politics (or wanted to see if there was honey in the Beehive)...this could be for them. They will spend a day with a Cabinet Minister, the ultimate holiday for any self-respecting bear.

Minister for Primary Industries, the Hon Nathan Guy, has kindly volunteered to host a Bear for a day in support of the 2013 Bear’s Big Holiday fundraising event.

The Bear's Big Holiday is a school fundraiser for Koputaroa School, a small rural school in the Horowhenua.

The school wants to raise $3000 towards a class set of iPads.

Bear(or other toy) owners around the country are being invited to buy a holiday ticket (by successfully winning a Trademe auction) for their bear and then send them to the school for a holiday in March 2013.

In addition to the day with Nathan, all the bears get to go in some very cool cars - a 1922 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, a Ferrari, a Monster Truck, a 1950 Riley RMB, a Mustang, a Formula 1st racing car and many others.

Bears go home with a Bear Passport and photos, to show just how much fun they had on their holiday.

Info For Bear Owners:
We wouldn't recommend sending any bear who is indispensable to a member of your family (i.e. A child’s number 1, can’t do without special bear). In this case number 2 bear is most welcome.

We can't take fragile bears or live animals - so no china bears, real bears or children please.

Bears must live in NZ or be returned to an NZ address.

Postage - you send your bear to us at your cost. We have added a return post charge this year.
