The first Leica lens created exclusively for a digital SLR camera. It's also the first Leica lens with MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) - and I can say from my own experience that it works really great !!! - , and the first to use the Four Thirds standard, so it will work with Leica Digilux 3 , Panasonic DMC-L1 , Olympus E-1 , E-330 , E-500 , E-400 , E-300 DSLR bodies . The 14-50mm focal distance is equivalent to 28-100mm in the 35mm film format, for shooting everything from wide-angle shots suited to landscape photos to medium telephoto shots suited to portraits. This single lens covers a wide range of shooting possibilities. The lens is not brand new , I used it for about 400 shots ( the price does reflect that ) , but it doesn't have any signs of usage and it comes with the original soft leather bag , original caps and original petal lens-hood .
