About the Trade Me Gadget
The Trade Me Gadget is a mini-application that allows you to keep an eye on your Trade Me listings or another member's listings right on your desktop.
Installing the Trade Me Gadget
Your computer must be running Windows Vista in order to run the Trade Me gadget. To install, click the download link below and choose to open the file when prompted:

Using the Trade Me Gadget
The Trade Me Gadget is available from your Windows Vista Sidebar. The Sidebar is a pane on the side of your desktop where all of your gadgets can be accessed and organised.
To get started, type in your username, or the username of another trader (your username is shown on your My Trade Me page.) You can view details of the current listings belonging to the trader you typed in, including the leading bid and closing time. Click the title of a listing to view more information on the Trade Me website.
You can keep the Trade Me Gadget docked in the Sidebar, or you can detach and place it anywhere on your desktop. To detach the Trade Me Gadget, right-click it and then click 'Detach from Sidebar,' then drag it to the location you want on the desktop.
To close the Trade Me gadget, right-click on the gadget and then click 'Close Gadget.'
Uninstalling the Trade Me gadget
At the top of the Windows Vista Sidebar, click the plus sign to open the Gadget Gallery. Right-click the Trade Me gadget and then click 'Uninstall.' |
