Artist, poet, tennis player, granny

I (Georgie) have been painting seriously for about 14 years and although I really love the watercolour medium, the brighter colours of acrylic and oil are preferred today by many purchasers, and most of my work is done in acrylics. We are into the fishing tackle business at home, hence the series of realistic fish paintings. Two have been used on the front covers of well-known fishing magazines, and one not fishing-related. I have had a lot of publicity in this field and through my website. I do regular commission work, and have many satisfied customers with testimonials. As well as the fish paintings I paint a wide range of other subjects, including animals, scenery, boats, and abstracts. Here I find unlimited freedom of expression with paint and occasionally use collage materials. In 2009 I completed a commission of 23 large paintings for rooms in the (then) new Albert Court Motel in Hamilton. I hope viewers will enjoy my paintings as much as I enjoy creating them. Cheers.
