| About Me | I am a trained cabinetmaker, and this has been my occupation since 1981 when I first worked in Parnell workshops making Kauri Windsor chairs. Later I worked with my brother and others in Zylstra furniture Co. On coming to the bright lights of Hamvagas I worked for Black Dog furniture Co. Presently I work from home doing mostly restoration work, though sometimes I have orders to make a few chairs, and other pieces of furniture. All furniture I sell has been thoroughly inspected, and professional repairs undertaken where neccessary.
A good example of my work can be viewed in Galbraith Alehouse at the town end of Mt Eden rd, Auckland, in the old Grafton library. I made the the chairs and still occassionally make chairs for this amazing establishment that serves the best house brewed ales in Auckland. Saving |
