 | Purchased a Bucas cover from Gillian which failed in every way. After just a few months on the horse (and washed only with the soap provided by Bucas), the waterproofing failed. The metal on the "patented" front closure snapped due to fatigue (from a low quality metal). But no worries, right? Bucas has a great warranty! Gillian has refused to honor the warranty, attempting to come up with any and every reason under the sun. Disputes Tribunal & a lesson in the Consumer Guarantees Act is in order. | | | Gillian Todd: You purchased the rug in April 2013 and contacted me 19 April 2014 advising about the front closure system which you had already taken into your own hands and had replaced.
You did not advise me of when it broke, and could not send it to me either. You also advised that you had the rug treated with lanolin, which has damaged the membranes.
This is why the cover is in the condition that it is. I have not tried to come up with “all the reasons under the sun” either. |  | A++
Great yard, Great friendly owners with a love of horses, I would highly recommend this livery yard as the best in Taranaki.
Birthwick park was a wonderful place to have my horses as they were always happy while they were there and the owners were easy to deal with and hassle free to contact when needed. Also Birthwick park has helped me with their awesome range of Prydes feeds helping me select the right diet for each of my individual horses and their needs. Keep up the great work guys. | | |
