The solid cedar top has a crystal clear quality about it; the tone from this guitar is lovely and even, no boominess or boxiness to be heard. The cedar also doesn't suffer from the over-brightness that afflicts most spruce top guitars in this price range. All round, a superb instrument for fingerstyle or chords.

The matte finish is also more to most peoples' tastes than the standard high-gloss fare. this guitar is great to look at as well as play. :-)

This is a great base to add a pickup to later if you're looking for something for performance - these guitars amplify beautifully due to the even tone. We recommend the Fishman Acoustic Matrix I for this instrument.
