Painted Ukulele by Kim Hands
This quirky piece of uke art, painted by Hawkes Bay based artist Kim Hands is being auctioned to raise money for the HB Society for Music Educations Ukes in Schools project. It is currently on display at the Hawke Bay Opera House where it will be viewed by thousands of uke enthusiasts at the annual Hawkes Bay Ukulele Festival, which runs from the 20 - 24th November.
What is Ukes in Schools?
The project offers children from around Hawkes Bay the opportunity to learn to play the ukulele by supplying sets of the instruments to be enjoyed in local schools.
Whats in it for me?
As the lucky winning bidder of this uke-nique ukulele, you will not only receive a stunning piece of art (doubling as an instrument which will be the envy of all your uke mates!) but you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that a few more Hawkes Bay kids can learn to strum a merry tune or two...aahh
So, dont delay - bid today!
