Exceptional violin c1744 Castagneri

Castagneri worked in Paris 1730 - 1762. Gorgeous 4/4 violin, modern bow and orignal croc/alligator skin case (in not such good condition - lined with gold velvet. No handle on outside of case but closing clips work well. The stamp on the endpin dentoes it from the work of the master maker.Label stamp inside "the workshop of" Andreas Castgneri. A one piece back with a beautiful golden brown varnish of fine texture. The violin is in playing order and presents a beautiful rich tone. The label inside the violin is stamped "Andrea Castagneri Palazzo di scellone Pariggi 1744. The violin is in ready to play (and love) condition
