Macpac Goretex technical jacket
One mean raincoat!
Made in NZ, stylish but tough
This jacket is a good length, not waist height and not down to your knees.
Very strong and in excellent condition. Unfortunately it is too small for me :(
Label says M, I would say men's small or female 12-14 to allow room to move.
Black/blueypurple/forest green
Two side zipped pockets (on an angle), two outside and one inside breast pockets (also zipped. Also has a small pocket inside that would fit a GPS or cell phone and a snack.
Velcro ties at wrists, fold away hood with peak support. Draw string at waist. Fleece neck lining. Reflective strips on arms. (slight wear).

Hi again, Thanks for the speedy response!! Does it say on the inside label the name of the jacket? How old is it? Much use? Is it definitely waterproof or does it need waterproofing? Any marks, snags etc. Could you measure from armpit to armpit please? Many thanks :)

Hi there. I can't see a name anywhere, but I was told it could be an Astrolabe. Only other thing inside is the Goretex fabric care label. On the bottom of that there is a code '96/97'. That could be the year? To be honest I haven't worn it because it was too small, but I would be very suprised if it leaked, cannot see any damage or excess wear. I'm normally disappointed with buying 2nd hand jackets, but this one was spot-on (except the size).

Seller Comment: The inside mesh has little marks, like small black dots on the mesh. There is slight wear along the arms and seams outside and the zip has lost some black paint but works perfectly. For the price it's a fantastic jacket! :)

Hi there,I may be able to help... this is an astrolabe, I have one and have had it since 1998, so that number may well be the year. Mine was the last year they made them. It is aimed at being a high country tramping/long alpine jacket. Mine is extremely waterproof, have only re waterproofed it once in 9 years. A superb jacket, and at the time they retailed for round $700. Hope this helps any buyers... Get amongst it and use it for what it was made for!
