Made from Hickory and linen backed for extra strength and reliability.

When bow staves other than Yew were what there was to work with a backing was used to keep the grain from raising and seperating from the back of the bow. all wood bows will eventually fail after many years of use, the linen backing will prolong this and keep it from fracturing violently and hurting someone.

The grip is bound with jute cordage.

Please note that these bows are not fitted with an arrow rest, like the bows of old, "shoot off your hand"

Suitable for a right or left handed archer. Hunting, target shooting, field archery, medieval re-enactment.

Measures: 70" in length.

Self nocked arrows are also available for this bow.
