Isuzu Bellett 1970
Description
Unfortunatly this car doesn't get the use it deserves now I have finished a semi-restoration on it and it is time for someone else to get some use out of the car.
I purchased the car in November 08' with re-worked interior but very much lacking in the body department. Lots of rust in the sills, guards and a murky yellow white paint job and have built it up as you see it now. I will include a picture of how the car was prior to work.
The car has been fully paneled, rust removed and painted in BMW Alpine White. All the chrome work I have cleaned up and polished, all the lights have been taken apart, cleaned and re-assembled on the car. All of the cars badges (originally plastic) I have had sand cast in alloy, cleaned and polished (not on the car in pictures).
On the inside, the car has new carpets, retrimmed front and rear seats and reasonably good condition dash and door cards (a couple have rips in the vinyl). It also has a genuine Nardi polished wooden steering wheel. All the rubbers are in good condition.
Along with the paint the engine bay received I have tidyed up the engine where possible, installed new fuel filter, oil filter, plugs, leads, new oil and battery. All of the guards have been cleaned up and undersealed again and the suspension has been lowered to a nice height.
There has been much done to the car in the short time I have owned it and I have a folder with 200+ pictures documenting the entire build for interested parties. I had fun building this but as mentioned it does not get the use and I would rather the cash for my next project.
It currently has no wof, registration is on hold. For a wof it would need the front indicators wired up, a few bulbs replaced and most likely the rear left drum looked at as it is quite tight to turn.
I have a literal acre of spares for this that can go with the car (3+ pallets worth of just Bellett spares!)
More information on the build can be found here http://oldschool.co.nz/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=15975 or txt/call me to view the car.
