It is hard to find a more effortlessly cool & comfortable dining suite than this and it's become Larsen's most iconic design with lightness of form and finesse on show for all to see.

Fully restored stunning mid-century Mahogany dining chairs comprising my absolute favourite locally produced design - Six model 10294 chairs c 1960s

A well proportioned, understated, elegant design with its modernist floating curved seat and softly shaped legs with curved back rest.
The angular rear leg visually gives the chair strength & stability contrasting the subtle curves of the back rest and frame.

Great finesse is expressed in the detail of this set of Otto Larsen originals. All in Sapele Mahogany with great warm color and beautiful, highly figured grain.

Condition:
These chairs are seldom fully restored because they are so difficult & time consuming to do properly.

The chairs have been totally restored. Fully deconstructed re-doweled, glued, clamped, stripped and fine sanded then 6 to 8 coats of Danish oil applied leaving a soft, satin finish that cures inside the timber making it durable and easy to maintain. The seats have been re-upholstered in heavy weight, softly textured black vinyl by Warwick over new foam. The table is all original no maks or scratches at all.

Otto Larsen was and is a highly regarded designer in New Zealand and his works are coveted amongst collectors of fine mid-century furniture.

9.8/10 virtually as new condition.
