The sculptural qualities of this set of dining chairs set is apart from the ordinary. The chairs are of particular note for their distinctive clean-cut stylised leg form.

The novel use of positive and negative space really enhances the design. The delicately curved mahogany are matched with fantastic back legs.

New Zealand-based furniture manufacturers such as Airest, Otto Larsen, Don Furniture, and Danske Mobler drew on the fashionable Scandinavian style in their manufacturing during the 1960's.
