A matching pair of space race inspired classics, designed by Fred Lowen and Ernest Rodeck for FLER, model SC58, in 1958.

6 years before Neil Armstrong first stood on the Moon Fred Lowen had the inspiration to design this iconic streamlined rocket chair.

Danish styling with sweeping, clean fluid lines and perfect proportions for fantastic comfort and support. This design features a striking profile that will entice the eye and ease the body.

Fred Lowen's early SC-55 and 58 are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike and are a great investment let alone beautiful from every angle. Just as comfortable to sit in with a laid back seating position, perfect for Sunday relaxing and watching a good movie.

This matching pair have solid Maple frames in fantastic restored condition. The chairs have a metal substructure that supports and strengthens the wooden frame whilst being hidden under the upholstery.

Condition: 10/10

The chair frames have been fully restored- disassembled, cleaned, re-glued & clamped, and finished in Briwax Danish Oil leaving a hard wearing natural, satin finish that penetrates the wood strengthening it from within. The covers are removable for washing if required and the material chosen is a deep grey soft woven fabric with a subtle linen feel which complements the blond Maple frames perfectly and looks amazing. FLER's patented zig-zag spring system under the seat all complete without fault, strong and supportive with new spring protectors installed. Original metal floor protector feet all present.
