An extraordinary art deco hat and coat stand in solid oak.

This stand needs very little introduction as the style speaks volumes, a real stunning 1930’s piece with large horn like coat hooks at the top and smaller hooks part way down for smaller clothing items.

Approximately half way down the stand is fixed an outer metal ring held in suspension by 3 round metal spheres that appear to be orbiting the stand like Saturn moons. (Space travel and futuristic themes was a popular Art Deco subject in the thirties often appearing in one form or another on furniture and lighting) The metal outer rings are in fact an umbrella and walking stick stand.

The timberwork is in good condition; the whole structure could do with a little screw tightening here and there.
