Extremely good and original condition for it's age. Has been taken from a 90+ year old house in ChCh that did not stand up well to the earthquakes. This is a piece of ChCh history from the original home of one of ChCh's early market gardeners, soon to be demolished. The fireplace is cast iron. The tiles are beautiful and all good, and there are some additional tiles taken from the original hearth - some are broken. The black paintwork needs some touching up, otherwise all good. This fireplace can be viewed before the auction closes. Pickup only. NOTE: Added Wed 16 May - have checked the tiles and many have icons I do not know, but some definitely say Made in England
