THESE ARE THE REAL THING! These beautiful angels in flying poses have just come all the way from France in my container of furniture. I used them to hold back the drapes around my bed and am only selling them because I am now going for a more modern look. They are carved in wood and gilded with silvered wings. Considering their age they are in wonderful condition with only one or two structure lines showing and a missing finger or two which is barely noticeable.
These are extremely rare and finding anything like these anywhere in NZ would be very difficult if not impossible. They are quite big. (Approx 40cms long) and are wondrously decorative with the sweetest facial expressions, plus they have great antique value. These have recently been estimated for general auction by a leading Auckland auction house and my start price is very reasonable indeed. You can bid with confidence on these knowing that you will be getting a real treasure.
