Extremely pretty china jardiniere or plant pot – a genuine Victorian or Edwardian/early art deco piece! Good condition – no chips, some crazing inside, and one small area of deeper lines that are very old and very stable – you can JUST make them out from the outside, in strong light. It has the most gorgeous pattern of leaves (or shells?) around the top, picked out in rose and blue, with green detailing. The body of the jardiniere is a rich chocolate graduating down to a deep copper. Absolutely lovely!

Fully stamped for FRANZANT MEHLEN BONN for the German maker Franz Anton Mehlen of Bonn, with handpainted model number and other stamps. 202mm high, so a nice large piece. Perfect for your aspidistra!
