Would rather they were picked up as they are very solid wood and quite heavy for their size. Possible that the wood is a nice wood too as it is pretty solid. But I'm not sure.

The block that they are on is carved into the shape of a book

I am unsure if the tusks are ivory :( or bone Only one has them though, the other one has had them pulled out. Could carve some more from bone to replace them :)
