As you would expect, the quakes did a number on our salt'n pepper collection, in that many were tossed off the shelves and smashed - except these two. Mother nature ensured that out of the two sets, the one of each was broken. So, what we were left with, was the Donkey (salt) and the cow (pepper). So if you want to create a conversation starter at dinner, place these two on the table, and relate their story. They just need a good clean (storage does that to china items!)
