They don’t come in much better condition than this.

My parents bought this telephone box in 1967, and it enjoyed pride of place in the main living room for the next 20 years. Around 1987 they built a new house, and since then it’s been stored in a dry shed.

My parents are on the move again, so it’s time the old telephone box found a new home.

It’s been inside, out of the weather for 45 years, and is still dressed in it's original paint job. It has the normal amount of wear & tear that you would expect from a retired ‘working’ telephone box.

Vital statistics: 1180 x 850 x 2160 mm.

There is NO ROT in the timber frame (or borer).

There's a small amount of damage at the bottom of the corner posts from various shifts in the past, but nothing major. The front right post has an old split traveling approx 300mm up.

All four of the original red sandblasted glass panels are in place, with no cracks or damage.

All the clear glass panels are OK.

The bottom hardboard insert panels are a bit tatty in places and can do with replacement, as well as the insert panels at the back.

The roof has some light surface rust but is otherwise sound.

The paint has not been touched since 1967, so what you see is what you get. There’s nothing hidden or covered up.

* Show someone you love them. Take your Mum & Dad on a trip down memory lane, and buy them a Olde Red Telephone Box for Xmas. A real stocking filler....

* Embark on a holiday vacation to remember. Stick a flashing blue light on the top, wrap up in a long scarf, and try your hand at some inter-dimensional time travel. The weather on the French Riviera was magnifique in August 1887...

* Stick some wheels underneath, a solar panel on top and go into business charging cell-phones at the beach this summer. For an extremely reasonable extra fee, you could also rub suntan lotion on beautiful girls and handsome young men...

This is a $1 reserve auction. The highest bid wins.
