Description
From my personal collection.
NOTE: This is a BANKNOTE- used in Germany.
This is a scarce note.
This German bank note was issued by the Nazi Government in Berlin on June 16 1939.
1939 20 Marks "Queen" of Nazi notes! Beautiful blonde Aryan lass with Edelweiss symbolizing purity (she also appears in the watermark). Mountain lake flanked by farmer and lumberjack on back. Large blue swastika on multi-color background, small brown swastika under the 'Reichs' eagle. Ornate large bill. Very rare!!!
This would perfectly complement a WW2 note collection.
A fascinating history & exquisite engraving. Again, featuring a large central blue Swastika and Reich Eagle clutching a Swastika emblem.
** Germans call this note Tirolerschein, because the lady holding Edelweiss is from Tirol, an area in Austria.
I do not condone the practices or policies of the Nazi Party, and offer WW2 era German memorabilia such as stamps, coins and bank notes as historical and educational material only.
Secure your slice of German history for only a few dollars.
Circulated see photo for condition.
Questions and combined post are always welcome.
