Miniature sample bottle for presentation to a Ginger Beer PRODUCER to help elicit an order of full sized bottles with his maker-label printed-on to market his own drink brand

Superb condition wonderful manufacture very precisely made No damage or repairs

MAKER MARKED to base "Doulton Lambeth England". This mark used by the famed Royal Doulton Pottery Company between 1891 and 1956 (The word "England" having been added in 1891) so clearly this bottle must date after 1891 but LIKELY "not needed" any longer by sales reps. after 1925-1930 when GLASS BOTTLES became the preferred user-choice

SIZE = Approx 2.28 inches tall or 58.01 mm

Probably one of many varieties that would have been carried by a sales representative selling stoneware bottles bottles to the soft drink & Soda water trade in the Victorian era

Salesman's samples are a special area of collecting in their own right but I would expect a Ginger Beer bottle collector would value this more highly

I was kindly advised by a collector that the "Salesman's sample bottles" (Which were approximately 2 inches in height) DIFFERED from these ultra-miniature Ginger Beer bottles and that those TINY miniature bottles were originally sold as "Dolls house bottles" from approximately 1880 through to 1915. (many thanks for the most useful & educational insight :-)
