Jacob Levien had the Aerated & Cordial factory in Timaru from the early 1870's and this specimen from William Barnard & Son, London [maker], is from the mid 1890's.

It is 6" in length and in the most perfect condition I have seen for bottle of this age. Absolutely no damage and no crate wear on the lettering at all. the torpedo has an applied top with no faults.

The 50 cent coin and pen are in the photo's for size comparisons only.

The face of the bottle has Jacob Levien's traditional 'Star of David' Trademark, as he was of the Jewish faith, with Trade mark embossed above the star and 'registered' below it.

The reverse lettering is.....'This bottle is the property of J.Levien & Co Timaru N.Z.'

This is an extremely RARE bottle in this size and rarer still in this condition.
