Sharpe Bros manufactured non-alcoholic drinks such as Dandelion Ale, Sarsparilla Beer, Ginger Stout, Herbal Beer and Rasbeer. They were best known for their Ginger Beer.

The Sharpe family moved from England to NZ over 100 years ago starting their business as "hygenic brewers", or soft drink and cordial manufacturers. They saw a need in their society for non-alcoholic drinks which began the family tradition of blending business with a focus on serving the community. Sharpe Bros. was quite a successful venture and they were the largest distributors in New Zealand & Australia for most of the early 20th century
