If you have always wanted to own an antique Station clock, but never thought you could afford to, here is your chance!
This antique drop dial Station clock is listed with a $1 reserve
Around 120 years old, it features a stunning octagonal shaped Oak case with beautiful grain in the timber
Unusually the door in front of the dial is also made from Oak and is octagonally shaped too. It measures 60cm long 38cm wide and 14cm deep, with the dial measuring 23cm across.
The clock has a beautiful metal painted dial with Roman numbers and is in excellent condition. The black hands have a simple elegance to them.
While the clock has always been well cared for, it has just been fully restored to stunning condition. The solid timber case is borer free and is polished to show case the beautiful colour and finish in the grain.
Below the dial is another smaller glass door through which the large brass pendulum is viewed swinging slowly back and forth. The clcok alos has its original brass key.
The movement has just been fully serviced, (removed cleaned, oiled, adjusted and reinstalled) and is in excellent condition, keeping good time.
The clock has a lovely restful tick and looks beautiful on the wall. It strikes a gong on the hour, runs for around a week on a wind and will add character and warmth to any home.
Clocks of this age, in such excellent condition are becoming increasingly hard to find. Don't miss your chance to own this wonderful time piece.
