A true example of fine quality craftmanship. This very elegant Dutch Longcase Clock features a detailed Hand Painted Dial & Rotating Lunar Phase. The hood has intricate fretwork on both sides. On the top, a large Globe bearing 'Atlas' figurine with trumpet blowing cherubs on either side. This clock has a beautiful chime and has recently been checked and re-oiled by a professional Clock & Watchmaker. A rare find, possibly the only one of it's kind in NZ, as it was brought into the country by my family in the early '80's. It comes complete with a separate wooden stand.
