Collectible old wood & metal percussion instrument in good condition, apart from a small piece of wood missing from just inside the bird's beak.

A bird is depicted either side of the hand grip. Square nails supporting the metal percussion plates, which could suggest that the age is...well, VERY old.

Appears to be African in design, but I could be wrong. I don't know what type of wood the instrument is made from. Roughly created from one single piece of wood.

Part of an inheritance left to me by my friend and singing tutor, who was well travelled.
