Description
These paper sleeves were given away FREE when you purchased a BOTTLE of Coke from a USA based Coca Cola Vending Machine in the 1930's
The purpose of the "Dry Server" was to absorb the condensation that occurred when the chilled Coke Bottle emerged from the fridge in HOT US Weather conditions
These "NO-DRIP BOTTLE PROTECTOR" paper sleeves were produced under licence to the Coca Cola Bottling Company USA by the No-Drip Company, Grove Street, Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The company thought that these Coke Bottle Sleeves were such a WINNER that they took out US Patents on them in 1927 and again in 1932
These OLD GENUINE ANTIQUE items of Coca Cola Co. advertising will likely be amongst the OLDEST Coke Collectables you will ever find for sale outside of a MUSEUM
SIZE = 7 inches by 4 inches to fit the classic original small size Coke Bottle
New Zealand did not GET Bottles of Coke until the US GI's (Soldiers of the United States Marine Corps or USMC) arrived in sleepy hollow (Kiwiland) and brought the Coke Vending Fridges down with their service gear
Prior to the US GI's arriving in about 1942 the only Coke sold here was sold Via "Fountains" or drink dispensers as is still commonly used today as the "Post-Mix"
BACK in 1905 when Coke cost 5 Cents per glass ? it was REALLY REFRESHING as it contained COCAINE (An illegal DRUG now) but it was PRESENT in Coca Cola as the primary ingredient was burned COCA LEAVES which is exactly the SAME PLANT That Cocaine Hydrochloride ("Coke") is derived from
TODAY the Coca Cola Bottling plant is the LARGEST SUPPLIER of Cocaine to the US Pharmaceutical and Dental trades
This is WHY all concentrate COKE SYRUP must come form the ONE Coke Plant in USA that makes it for world wide distribution (Ultra HIGH SECURITY I would imagine exists at that plant ?) :-)
