This Rare and Antique Kauri colonial Hall stand is from a pharmacists Villa in Birkenhead,Auckland.
He seemed to know all the history about it,stating it was built before his house was built(which was in 1904)He said it was a 1890's,before the turn of the last century piece of furniture.
It is made from sold Kauri and the photos show the extrodinary craftmanship and detail that has gone into this piece.
It has some old borer holes in it which the previous owner said has been treated and not active otherwise it wouldn't have stayed in his home.
220cm high by 126cm wide by 35cm deep.
I'm very sure that the reserve price is very reasonable for something of this stature and may the highest bidder win.
